for those of you concerned at the missing subject in the previous email, let me put your minds and hearts at rest. The subject has now been found and is currently in hospital in what the doctors assure me is a stable condition. For those of you concerned about the earthquake, let me put your minds and hearts at rest by telling you that neither of us felt a thing and if Mark hadn’t mentioned it in passing when reading the newspaper, all your emails asking if I was dead yet would have been the first I heard of it.

This is gonna be a fairly quick one cos net charges are a little more realistic in Pokhara, yes that’s right I’m in Pokhara. Seen Vishnu, Ailsa & Gunga and some other people who seemed to know Mark. Going on a short trek (couple of days) tomorrow with Vishnu (and Mark obviously).

It’s so much more relaxed here which is nice compared to Kathmandu. It’s no longer deadly to make eye contact with anyone. They’ll still try and sell you stuff but they won’t chase you up the street still trying to sell you stuff once you’ve said no.

It’s generally pretty cool, and my half hour is drawing to a close so I’ll say tada for now.
