met up with everyone ok. their plane was delayed and there’s no announcement system or anyone you can ask so I waited about 1 and three quarter hours with our taxi driver for them to finally emerge but we got there in the end. went to swayambounath and pashupati today which was cool and everyone’s used about a roll each taking pictures of monkeys… it’s funny, you could really see the gang warfare between the monkeys and the dogs at swayabounath. they both walked about in clans all looking very cool and powerful but they would attack each other (for show more than anything) and glare at each other menacingly… btw, I’m writing this on the slowest pc in the world so it would take
too long to correct typing mistakes so I don’t bother.

We met, completely by chance, Chris bennett’s daughter (the one who runs a children’s something in kathmandu) in the street this morning and we’re going out for a drink with her and her bf later on.

I’m in a bit of a fix about my indian visa cos I applied for it yesterday but they make you wait a week to get clearance from your home embassy (france and uk for me because they got a bit confused over my being french but living in the uk, they also charged me twice for the privilege) which means we’ve got a week to kill here so we might go rafting for a couple of days. The price started at $50 each all inclusive this morning and had gone up to $65 this evening so it may turn out too expensive if it goes on at this rate…

gotta get back to the hotel cos the others are waiting for me (hopefully) so we can go and eat…

tada,

T.
