The band Thirty Seconds to Mars and frontman Jared Leto has been a trending topic several times in the past two months. Including several of their songs, videos and Jared Leto’s Birthday. And, most of the bands fans called the Echelon create and use avatars relating to the trending topic they are posting. Are there any stories of this trending by their fans the Echelon??

Hello. I was wondering how I can get #JingleBallOLLG to become a trending topic. I want to be a One Less Lonely Girl at a Justin Bieber concert. A One Less Lonely Girl is a lucky fan who gets to go n stage and be sung to by Justin. The OLLG is usually a random fan, or someone who has connections. And the next concert I am attending where he will be performing at is the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City. Getting Justin to notice you on Twitter is like finding a needle in a hay stack. It is nearly impossible! I have over 600 followers, yet they can’t make #JingleBallOLLG a trending topic:/ I need all of Twitter’s help to get Justin Bieber or one of his friends or family to notice me. And making it a trending topic they will see it and contact me. I wil be the happiest girl on Earth. It will be the best Birthday (December 3) and Christmas present I have ever received. So, please help me!(:

Yep. Twitter turned off Basic Auth for the API and I haven’t had a chance to update it to OAuth yet.
